Sublunar Minds, fixtures of NYC's indie scene for over a decade, build on their unique brand of funk rock with the release their 5th studio album "Into A Future Bright And Beautiful."
Featuring the singles "This Other Eden" and "This Little Earth", both references to Richard II, the music combines fresh horns, neo-Motown grooves, expansive lyrics, and even Queen-style guitar choirs. And with "Up Up Up" the band takes Talking Heads-style funk and mixes in salt-of-the-earth timbres and soul jazz riffs. Recorded in Brooklyn and mixed by Emmy-nominated composer Doug Maxwell, the lyrical themes and recurring motifs make this the band's most ambitious album to date.
