ROMII RELEASES YET ANOTHER STELLAR NEW SINGLE, ‘YOU KEEP RUNNING’’

Australian artist ROMII (fka ROMY) has impressed us again with her powerful new single ‘You Keep Running’. After taking out the 2017 Queensland Music Award for best Urban Song for ‘Wild Heart’, she’s been over in the USA working with some of the very best the US pop machine has to offer, and now she’s followed up with yet another incredible song.

Following the success from her first awaited single 'Cupid Love' from her new project, ‘Cupid Love’ had debuted at #14 on the 100% Independent chart and #15 on the Labels chart. In November ‘Cupid Love’ came in at #9 in the Top 20 Countdown on Australian Radio Network Station ‘The Edge 96.1’, with rotation across the country on Top 40 Stations ‘The Edge 96.1’ iHeartRADIO and national airplay on the ‘Hit’ Network. ‘Cupid Love’ had a brilliant premiere and was also added to 'NEW MUSIC FRIDAY AU & NZ' Playlist on Spotify. The song was written and recorded in Los Angeles with powerhouse producer Bryant Siono, whose credits run alongside JLO, Prince and Kelly Rowland with additional production and musicianship from Tim Stewart (Lady Gaga, Rihanna) and Monte Neuble (Eminem, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Dr Dre, Snoop).

ROMII’s moving and emotional new single ‘You Keep Running’ stems from a place more personal to her. “I wrote ‘You Keep Running’ about something I was experiencing at the time. My most treasured friendship I had began to take a turn for the worse. The title and lyrics ‘You Keep Running’ refers to an autopilot mentality, by closing off and pulling away from any person that gets in too close to them, in order to self-protect.”

‘You Keep Running’ was written and recorded in Los Angeles with Grammy nominated producer ‘Jayme David Silverstein’ who has worked with artists Miguel, Alicia Keys, J Cole, Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg and is best known for producing and playing bass on a number of Miguel’s records.

There is no rest for Brisbane/LA based rising pop superstar ROMII. From the moment her feet touched the ground in the United States, ROMII was put to work; first stepping in on a writing session for Kat Dhalia, writing a song that would later be sent to Rhianna. From writing songs for industry heavyweights to working alongside the likes of T-Pain and Bad Boy Records, ROMII has been busy carving a name out for herself as a dynamic artist both here and abroad.

ROMII has previously had a string of awards nominations including ‘Video Of The Year’ and wins, winning Urban Song of the Year at the 2017 Queensland Music Awards and a songwriting award at the 'International Songwriting Competition’ (Unsigned Only) in Nashville, Tennessee. Previously, ROMII’s self-directed music video for her first single ‘Wild Heart’ was nominated ‘Artist of The Month’ on ‘Channel V Disco[V]er’, in addition to being televised on ‘Channel V’ music channel and was a finalist in ‘Video of The Year’ and ‘People’s Choice Award’ at the Gold Coast Music Awards 2016. ROMII was also crowned ‘Faces of Music to Watch in 2016’ by news.com.au, published nationally in all major news print.

Training in all aspects of the entertainment industry (singing, dancing and acting) from a young age, ROMII wrote her first song at the age of seven, and attended the Griffith University Conservatorium of Music when she was just 11 years old. ”I’ve always tried to learn as much as I can about what it takes to be in the music industry. It’s a field that you have to continuously work at and keep pushing forward in, in order to create success,” she said.

Her new single ‘You Keep Running’ will be available on all streaming platforms soon.
