"Wow, that sounds like Richard Ashcroft, Ryan Adams, and Slash wrote a song at a Pearl Jam concert." was the first quote we got after playing Lonely and Afraid for a test group of music fans in Nashville. We will take that feedback.

Lonely and Afraid is the first single off of Roberts and West's new EP " How Did We End Up Here" due on 1.31.20. As an independent Nashville artist we are very pleased with the radio adoption of Lonely and Afraid all over the US in just the first month. The song is based on a conversation drummer and principle lyricist Reed West had with his father shortly before his passing from the effects of Alzheimer's. The lyrics address loss, love and most importantly trust. Obviously this is an honest and difficult song to write for the band, but lyrically the feedback has resonated with anybody dealing with progression of life with a loved one.  Lonely and Afraid was recorded at the famed Blackbird Studios in Nashville Tennessee, a spot where the band was really able to craft the piano and guitar sounds that have been a focused area of their live shows for years.

Roberts and West is donating 100% of the streaming, download, and publishing proceeds from Lonely and Afraid to the Alzheimer's Association to support their Longest Day fundraising campaign through 6.20.20. We are also offering a free download for a donation of any size at

Thanks for your support as we use music to help a great organization. Please let us know if you add the song to your programming so we can direct our social medias to your station. Hope you dig it.

Thanks and praises.
