"If you’ve been following me on social media over the last few years, you knew I went through a surgery on my vocal chords to get a polyp removed. During the healing process, I had to come off the road and go through almost two months of total silence. There was a possibility that I wouldn’t be able to go out on the road and sing professionally anymore. Needless to say, it took the wind out of my sail.  I felt frustrated, fearful, anxious, but more than anything… just this loss of identity. I kept asking God, ‘Who am I without a voice? This is how I sing to You. This is how I serve you. This is how I do my job. Who am I without this?’ In that whole time as I was silent – in that valley so to speak – God showed up. He spoke to me His love in a bigger way. He realigned priorities in my heart that I didn’t even know needed to be realigned. He once again was at the throne of my heart, the highest spot. It’s crazy…my prayers went from ‘God heal me’ to ‘God be my King. Whatever You have, I trust in You because You love me. You are all powerful, and I have nothing to fear. Whether I get a voice or not, I want You to be my all in all. I want You to take the throne of my heart in every situation – not just on stage – but in everything. From beginning to end, be my all in all.’ He showed me in a new way who He is. He’s my redemption, my salvation, my shepherd, my provider, Father and my hope. Out of that season came ‘My All In All.’ It’s been amazing to sing it out on the road and I hope it blesses you like it has blessed me." – Phil Wickham
