Paula Boggs Band "Mistletoe & Shiny Guitars" GOING FOR HOLIDAY AIRPLAY NOW! Paula Boggs was inspired to write “Mistletoe & Shiny Guitars” as part of her invitation to participate in The Acoustic Guitar Project ©, a global music platform — and concert series — that inspires musicians to write an original song and record it live in one week. She was the only one in Seattle who turned in a Christmas song. After submitting her stripped-down solo version of “Mistletoe & Shiny Guitars” to The Acoustic Guitar Project ©, Boggs and her band fleshed out the tune with mandolin, banjo, accordion, bass, drums and percussion, along with gorgeous three-part vocal harmonies and, of course, sleigh bells. The six-piece soulgrass group — Boggs, Mark Chinen on guitar and banjo, Jarrett Mason on bass and vocals, Tor Dietrichson on percussion and vocals, Paul Matthew Moore on piano, accordion and vocals, and Jacob Evans on drums — recorded the track this past summer at Bear Creek Studio near Seattle, with Ryan Hadlock (Brandi Carlile, the Lumineers) producing, and special guest Darren Lucas on mandolin. “Mistletoe & Shiny Guitars” is a warm, uplifting take on the holiday spirit, inspired by a bus ride that Boggs took through Seattle during the holiday season last year. About that bus ride, Boggs says, “The sea of human activity that comes on and off, and what people are doing while they’re on a bus, was just very fascinating to me.” RADIO CONTACT:
