"The Carpenter"
Going for airplay now!
Lead single from
Fever Of Unknown Origin
"Kristy Krüger is a musical time traveler gripped by stylistic wanderlust. Her curiosity leads her to unpredictable explorations, placing aesthetic bets that her intelligence, talent and immense personal charm take straight to the bank. Each song is a wonder and a delight."

-Anthony DeCurtis, Rolling Stone

“This album is a knock out.” – Richard Skanse, Lonestar Magazine

Krüger began studying classical piano at age five. She studied jazz at the Dallas Arts Magnet, whose alumni includes Norah Jones, Edie Brickell, and Erykah Badu. She went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Music cum laude from the University of Southern California. Equal parts songwriter, performer, storyteller, and musical historian, on her new record the songstress weaves together threads of traditional jazz and blues, Dixieland, Western swing, and classic country into a melodic tapestry that fits squarely into the canon of distinctly American music while still sounding undeniably fresh and modern.

Fun facts:

A contributor to Public Radio International's This American Life with Ira Glass.

All Songs Considered featured "Gold Rush" from her last album, Songs from A Dead Man's Couch.

WXPN's Bruce Warren called Songs from A Dead Man's Couch "A f*&kin' great record!!"

Nominated for three Independent Music Awards:

"Best Americana Album"
"Best Americana Song" (The Carpenter)
"Best Cover Song" (Folsom Prison Blues)
