‘Graveyard Hill’ is a classic Australian story and bush ballad written for women and their lives in the bush. Written especially for Dianne by Joy McKean, it is the true story of a lonely baby’s grave in the Nulla Nulla Valley. A small cement marker and brass plate showed the tiny grave where baby Florence Rebecca Kyle was buried and remains today. A remembrance of all the other little children who died in the lonely bush. Their graves are mostly unknown, but at least this one, is not forgotten.
Dianne Lindsay is a multi-award winning singer songwriter with a strong leaning to the traditional country bush ballad genre. She tours extensively, runs her own shows, co-hosts a weekly national radio program, is always promoting traditional-style country music and is a much-sought-after bush balladeer artist.
Coming from a very prominent country music family, Dianne works hard to ensure that true Australian country music is alive and well. To her credit are several Golden Guitar ‘Bush Ballad of the Year’ finalist placings and numerous awards such as Peoples’ Choice and Female Vocal amongst many others. In 2014 Dianne was inducted into the Tamworth ‘Hands of Fame’ and to the American ‘Old Time Country Music’ Hall of Fame in 2011.
Dianne produces and co-hosts the very successful ‘Back To The Bush Spectacular’, a major concert at the Tamworth Country Music Festival each year.
