Open Up for Us the Gates of Heaven

I am excited to share with you a powerful song of praise to our Lord and Savior based on one of my favorite psalms of praise by King David, Psalm 118. In our current time, we are experiencing some uncertainty. What a perfect time to review this psalm where we are reminded to take refuge in the Lord and to remember that He is our rock and cornerstone.
Early in the psalm, it gives us hope that when we cry out to the Lord, we are reminded that He is with us and we should not be afraid. We need to also remember that when we fall, the Lord is there for us! He is our strength and our defense. What a wonderful comfort to know that we can rely on this immense strength of an ever-loving God, no matter the hardships we face each day.
Open Up for Us the Gates of Heaven may be used as a call to worship, a song of comfort and furthermore, a song of praise to God for ALL the loving things He has done for us! We ask God to open the gates of righteousness that we may enter and give Him all the praise and glory, for it is in Him whom we have eternal salvation, and with Him we look forward to spending an eternity in Heaven!
