Attractions' latest single "Satisfaction" is a psychedelic disco-tinged funk rock track that will keep you rocking and dancing!

Formed in 2016, Attractions hails from Fukuoka, Japan, on the southern island of Kyushu, as the first signing of “Gimmick-Magic”, a label formed by a local clothing/restaurant/lifestyle company, the Bingo Bongo Group.  They cite Brit rock of the 2000s as their influence.

The band’s debut single “Knock Away” was released digitally in August, 2017.  Featured on such major Spotify playlists as “Early Noise” and “Tokyo Rising”, it quickly became a tastemaker favorite and racked up an astonishing 600,000+ plays.  They also made a huge impact by being chosen as Apple Music’s “New Artist of the Week” which made it perfect timing for the first EP Attractions to drop in October, 2017.  Their single released in June, 2018, “Leilah”, a true pop gem that immediately went into Spotify’s “Viral 50 Japan” charting in the Top 3.  They released their first album Distance in December, 2018.

While their recordings display attention to detail and precision, their live performances are much more spontaneous and full of groove and energy.  Appearing at South by Southwest (SXSW) in March 2018, the group made a big splash which resulted in a last-minute, extra show being added.  Since 2018, they have been on the big festival circuit in Japan, with appearances at Summer Sonic 2018, Sunset Live 2018, Minami Wheel 2018, Rising Sun Rock Festival 2019, Local Green Festival 2019 and Sunset Live 2019.

Attractions is currently working on a new album to be released later in the year. According to Taro, the vocalist, it is "aggressive", "impulsive" and "liberating"!!
