NAB’s The Place To Be

nab-show-logo2515This week, the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) invites its members to gather for their annual NAB Show, ongoing through Friday in Las Vegas.

The annual convention never fails to be a who’s who of broadcasting industry insiders. This year’s event is shaping up as no exception. Over 26,000 registrants from 159 countries will descend upon Las Vegas for an event that promises an agenda as vast as its attendees’ backgrounds. Topics and areas represented this year include: Broadcast (natch), Digital Media, Film, Entertainment, Telecom, Post-Production, Education, Houses of Worship, Advertising, Military/Government, Retail, Security, Sports, and IT.

Whew. Even FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler will be in the house. Additional speakers include: Mel Karmazin, AMC President Charlie Collier talking Walking Dead, and more than a bevy of experts discussing “hybrid media,” “big data” and mobile…just to name a few. Play MPE® partners MusicMaster will be on hand, demo-ing the latest and greatest from their cornerstone programming software.

Joe Knapp, CEO/President of MusicMaster, shared his experiences with the NAB Show. “In the past, we’ve had amazing success showing the diversity of our relationships by placing MusicMaster consultants in booth locations of our many partners. But that didn’t allow us a home base from which to operate. With the addition of our current NAB booth, we’re allow attendees the freedom to come to one location and see how MusicMaster interfaces with a variety of automation and research partners. Judging by the attendance, NAB partisans enjoy this concept as much as we enjoy providing it.” Knapp went on to discuss the synergy between the two brands. “We’re very excited about the relationship with Play MPE® and look forward to growing with you. Having Play MPE® join us with a live representative at future functions will provide media decision makers with even greater insight into our excitement.” Don’t miss this exhaustive chance to get even mo’ informed about content creation and distribution across all platforms!
