August Rain – Hold On
IMPACTING MAY 19 FOR RADIO
Impacting a band member’s life forever
"Hold On" by August Rain is the first released single of their newest album, "Mercy! Mercy!". The band returned to Black Cat Studios and producer, Jason Hoard, for this song. This first single off the album is about holding on to hope and the Father’s promises…when we most feel like letting go. This entire album became very personal, very quickly, when during the last of the album process, Denise Bowen, the band keyboard player was suddenly diagnosed with bile duct cancer. Frank Bowen, the drummer and husband to Denise, felt one more song was now needed. A song to lift up Denise and others facing adversity, but also to honor Denise’s strong testimony in the band, as a wife, as a mother and a friend to all she meets.
Denise has been a fighting a late stage bile duct cancer for which chemotherapy and surgery are not options. She is receiving treatment at a special clinic that the family has to pay for on their own. This will cost tens of thousands of dollars, not including all the travel and missed work for her to receive the treatment. This is the most personal single ever released for the band and ALL DOWNLOAD AND AIRPLAY ROYALTY INCOME will be donated to pay for her cancer treatment.
For the entire band, this album has been the most meaningful and proud album of the band’s history. From songs that move you gently like "Slow Down", to the swampy, Americana-folk style of songs like "Mercy Mercy" and "Buy Local", there’s a song for everyone that hears it. This album’s intent is to encourage, entertain, inspire, and most of all honor the Father and all he has done through and to August Rain.
To help Denise fight for her life and her family, simply share this single’s information on air, by mouth or on social media. Thank you in advance for your support!
