Aaron Watson – July In Cheyenne
"July In Cheyenne" is the fourth and final single release off Aaron Watson’s Top 10 Billboard debut Real Good Time.
Taking on the theme of Lane Frost’s tragic death at Cheyenne Frontier Days, "July In Cheyenne" is the epitome of a country song that will resonate with listeners. Aaron wanted to tell the rest of the story’ that the Hollywood blockbuster 8 Seconds didn’t tell about Lane finding his faith in God before his untimely death. The song was so moving that it struck a friendship between Aaron and Lane’s mom, Elsie Frost, to whom Aaron wrote and dedicated the song to.
It was a busy summer for Aaron that saw his tour schedule take him from packed houses in California to another successful overseas performance in Norway, an appearance at Summerfest (The Largest Outdoor Festival in the US) and a coveted slot opening for Alan Jackson with several headlining sold-out dates in-between. The schedule through the end of the year is just as heavy with appearances throughout the US culminating with a 3- night stand at National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas where one night he will perform "July In Cheyenne" on the floor of the Thomas & Mack Arena to 18,000+ rodeo fans.
